Holistic Massage + The Nervous System | A Hands-on Introduction

Enjoy a day being massaged and learning tecniques to massage friends and family with expert holistic therapy proffesional, Ella - owner of The Pink School. Ella has spent her career in the wellness industry honing and perfecting her practice, running a multi-practitioner therapy space with exceptionally high standards and a passion for making massage accessible and truly holistic - she is the perfect person to introduce you to this gorgeous craft.  You can check out her qualification son the about us page. This is an un-accredited course, and does not qualify you to practice proffesionally but it will give you an excellent and realistic taste of life as a massage therapist and teach you skills to ease common issues within the body such as headaches and stress and a greater understanding of holistic care. The day is focussed on techniques which soothe the nervous system, rather than injury or physical ailments. We will focus on the neck, shoulders, face and head in a supine position (lying on your back). 

In addition to the hands-on skills we will touch on the proper use of oils, essential oils, breathwork and the important role of the nervous system on wellbeing. 

Day structure:

- 10:30am: Welcome + introductions

- Standing mindful movement practice + breathwork 

- Introduction to the nervous system

- Hands on practice - basic massage techniques  

- Lunch break 

- Hands on practice - head, face + neck

- Q&A

- Cleansing and grounding practice

- Goodbyes (4:30/5pm)

The class will be lead using massage tables, focussing on the shoulders, face, neck and head in a supine position - this is the most transferrable way to be able to practice at home without a professional table. You will be in a pair with another attendee, and take it in turns to practice - so you will have planty of time being massaged which is GORGEOUS. 

Because of the vulnerable nature of massage training the course is aimed at women, however men coming with a partner are more than welcome.
