BYOB Yoga at Project House

Bring Your Own BROOD Yoga - for parents who want to ease tension, build strength and relax

8.50 British pounds
Project House, Armley

Service Description

Bring Your Own BROOD Yoga at Project House, Armely Leeds. A mix of gentle movement to ease tension in the body, connection to the pelvic floor, breathwork and a touch of strength building around the pelvis, and other areas which need a little TLC after becoming a parent. £8.50/drop in or £32 (£7.50/class) for 4 classes. The aim is to provide a space for you to have some time dedicated to you in the middle of your busy week of putting everyone else's needs first. This session is BYOB but with a total focus on parents, babies and children are of course more than welcome if you think you will get something out of the session then I don't mind how old or wild they are. It is a free flow, informal session - do what you can to join in and let's have a laugh and a move together. Non birthing parents are, as always, also welcome. Park your pram/plonk your kids on the sofas or on a mat next to yours, bring an extra mat for the kiddos if so. It is going to be noisy, probably like no-other yoga you have ever been to - but equally fun and rewarding. The aim is to give you some freedom of movement, and to be able to focus on your body and mind in between inevitably checking on your little ones. The floor is concrete, so very hard and it gets quite cold under foot. It is also a gig venue, so being able to keep your baby close I think is probably preferable. What to bring: a yoga mat, toys/entertainment, an extra mat or thick blanket if you want them on the floor with you. After the session the sofa area in Galleria is reserved for those who want to have the best brunch in the city and make some new pals. Or you can book a table if you are coming with friends, just head to their website. Accessibility: Location - The room is wheelchair accessible. There are disabled toilets, and baby changing. Physical limitations - the class will involve floor based stretching, standing postures and controlled breathing. If you or your child have specific limitations please contact Ella to discuss so she can plan the practice to be valuable to you: hello@thepinkschool.co.uk. Visual accessibility - the space will be well lit throughout and there will be no adjustment to the lighting. Sound - there are no induction loops in the venue. There is no echo, and background music will be kept very low. There will be a lot of noise from the babies.
